Eldorado Water and PET Packaging

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). PET is BPA free, lightweight, durable, and doesn’t pose the shatter risk of glass.

Currently, our water is available in PET containers of five sizes:

5 gallons
1.5 liters
1.0 liters
24 ounces
0.5 liters

The 1.0-liter, 24-ounce, and 0.5-liter containers are all made from environmentally friendly 100% post-consumer recycled PET (rPET).

Recycling

PET Products are infinitely recyclable.
In fact, 90% of the PET that goes into recycling bins is recycled!⁽¹⁾

Safe

PET does not contain BPA (Bisphenol A).
Since it's an inert substance, PET is resistant to attacks by micro-organisms and won't biologically degrade.⁽²⁾

Production

Producing PET bottles generates 33% less greenhouse gas emissions⁽³⁾ and uses 50% less fossil fuels⁽⁴⁾ compared to manufacturing aluminum cans.
Producing PET bottles uses up to 77% less greenhouse gas emissions compared to producing glass bottles.⁽⁵⁾
