We at Eldorado Springs have realized that not everyone is as passionate about water as we are. And that’s ok! It would be a bit odd if you were. With that being said, we would like to nerd out for a moment and reflect on one of the most important weekends of the year for us in the water world: the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting.
If you haven’t had a chance to read some of our previous blog posts about this event, or water sommeliers in general, it’s a pretty interesting topic and we invite you take a look here and here. To give you a quick glimpse of what the event is, it is commonly referred to as “the Academy Awards of water.” The top waters from around the world along with some of the best and brightest water soms in the business all come together for a star-studded evening centered around the most popular beverage on earth.
For years, Eldorado Natural Spring Water has been a tough competitor to beat, receiving countess medals and beating out popular waters from Belgium, Croatia, and even Finland. This year, Eldorado Springs won the coveted Gold Medal for Best Municipal Water in the U.S. and Second Best in the World! While only a very few lucky folks (600 or so) are able to enjoy this splendid tasting water natively—these folks being the residents of Eldorado Springs—Eldorado Natural Spring Water is proud to share this world-recognized, naturally-tasty artesian spring water with the rest of the world. (Well, Colorado anyway, and we’re working on figuring out how to make it available to the rest of the world!)
Jeremy Martin, one of our co-founders had this to say after getting word of the big win:
"We really love what we do and are incredibly excited that Eldorado Springs has continued to receive such high praise over the years. I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our water, especially since every year the event hosts a new panel of judges."
It has been a fantastic year for Eldorado Springs and we are already looking forward to next year’s tasting! Learn more about our unique source and what makes our water so delicious, and if you’d like to read more about our most recent accolade check out this article.
